Classes of Membership and Fees

ORDINARY MEMBER:
Number: Limited in number.
Limitations: 1. May vote.
2. Eligible for election to Management Committee
Entry Requirements: Must pay membership fee as set by the Management Committee from time to time. Membership fee can be waived at the discretion of the Secretary.
Must be nominated and seconded by an Ordinary Member.
Must live in an eco-village recognised as such by the Management Committee.
Must be approved by the Management Committee.
Benefits: One copy of each issue of the quarterly Ecovillage News newsletter, discount on GEN courses (where such discount is advertised as available).
ASSOCIATE MEMBER:
Number: Unlimited
Limitations: 1. May not be elected to Management Committee
2. May not vote.
Entry Requirements: Open to all, subject to approval of the Management Committee and payment of Associate Membership fee.
Fee: AU$22 (includes GST).
Benefits: One copy of each issue of the quarterly Ecovillage News newsletter, discount on GEN courses (where such discount is advertised as available).
ECOVILLAGE MEMBER:
Number: Unlimited.
Limitations: May not vote.
Entry Requirements: 1. Must be an ecovillage as recognised by the Management Committee.
2. Must be nominated and seconded by an ordinary member.
3. Must be approved by the Management Committee.
Fee: AU$22 (includes GST).
Benefits: One copy of each issue of the quarterly Ecovillage News newsletter (entitled to two copies per issue upon request), discount on GEN courses (where such discount is advertised as available).
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER:
Number: Unlimited
Limitations: 1. May not vote.
2. May not be elected to the Management Committee.
Entry Requirements: 1. Must be nominated and seconded by an ordinary member
2. Must have aims or ethics in line with ecovillage principles as determined by the Management Committee. (Will need to fill in ecovillage checklist.)
3. Must be approved by the Management Committee.
Fee: AU$110 (includes GST).
Benefits: One copy of each issue of the quarterly Ecovillage News newsletter (entitled to up to four copies per issue upon request), discount on GEN courses (where such discount is advertised as available).
