Life Extension Village

What is a "Life Extension Village"?

This is a short history of how the idea for “Life Extension Villages” came about and how I would like them to develop. This is my dream, I guess, of how we can live more sustainably in the future with buildings and a local environment that aids health and longevity.

Illawarra Ecoviilage

Illawarra Ecoviilage

Expressions of interest open for the possibility of a new village in Wollongong/Shellharbour area

Looking for like minded people interested in starting a community in the Illawarra region. Basic concept is based on the Narrara ecovillage project where members would own title to their own property.
Everyone pays a share of the block of land purchased and development costs and pays to build their own house. The community would collectively agree on any conditions of building eg. solar, water re-use and saving, visual conditions if applicable etc.

Mainstream property industry has a stranglehold on urban development where property is valued for its individual worth, with little consideration given to personal or community sustainability. With an ageing population, increasing diversity and decreasing use of institutionalised care and particularly given the constraints on public finances, we need innovative models that facilitate long-term community capacity building: models which support resilient, thriving communities though the empowerment of a new citizenship culture.

Indigenous Sustainable Communities

Indigenous Sustainable Communities

Support Network for sharing designs and technology

My dream is to support the development of off-grid sustainable communities in Australia that are designed around culturally appropriate principles and practices under Original 'proper Law'.
While traditional indigenous sustainable communities have held the form and ethos of natural laws for millennia around the world, the fairly recent colonization of Australia (225+), has seen the forced dislocation and continuing attempted assimilation of Original communities into settler society, disbanding many families and communities.
