Auroville (City of Dawn) is an experimental township in Viluppuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, near Puducherry in India. Inspired by the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo, Auroville was founded in 1968 by the Mother (Mira Alfassa) in accordance with her dream of a universal township living in harmony with itself and the wider world.
The Global Campus Palestine was conceived to provide Palestinians with the opportunity to study regenerative ecological practices, as a first step towards establishing decentralized, autonomous models of how human beings can live sustainably.
This is a short history of how the idea for “Life Extension Villages” came about and how I would like them to develop. This is my dream, I guess, of how we can live more sustainably in the future with buildings and a local environment that aids health and longevity.
It is not only farming. And not only educating. As well as not only exchange. It is combination of farming, education and exchange about ideas, environment friendly concepts and educating about the green life-style concept from children to adults.
It is team work, cooperative activities and sharing.
